This pattern is tied on a size 10 hook and imitates the nymph of the Damselfly. The under body is olive dubbing, the over body pearl tinsel; a 3 mm gold bead at the head with a throat hackle of partridge and a tail of olive dyed grizzle marabou, finish the fly.

This pattern is tied on a size 10 hook and imitates the nymph of the Damselfly. The under body is olive dubbing, the over body pearl tinsel; a 3 mm gold bead at the head with a throat hackle of partridge and a tail of olive dyed grizzle marabou, finish the fly. The barred chicken marabou makes a very effective tail; moving and fluttering in the water depending on the speed the fly is retrieved. This pattern is best fished on a floating line, retrieving in to the shoreline, which will match the naturals movement as they head to the bank to hatch on vegetation. Mainly of use on lakes, this pattern will catch fish during all four seasons of the year.
